the clock has stopped.

January 17, 2009

It’s the time of the year where I would be the first to kick start the annual springcleaning.

Yet, as usual, the mess seems to always stick around no matter how heartless I was much I threw out. Blame it on big sis’s habit of wanting to keep every nonsensical thing from neoprints (do you even remember these existed?) to some “himalayan” sand =x

So, every dusting episode of the year, there’s treasure(s) to be dug =)

This year, there’s only one to be found though:

Barbie cassette

sweet overload

Yeap, I made that for his mum as a post birthday gift. She has been so great to me =)

The earth stood still early this month and we were all suffering from bad time management (hence I’ve been flagging a cab down lately =X). So, we went Ikea to get a new clock, some storage boxes and finally a little something for that little one:

Haha, her previous home was finally threw out after being an eye sore (as she tore it down) for more than a year. She’s still better suited with cotton.

On a random note, Mac is so well-protected that I’m starting to hate it. I cannot install microsoft office and my printer refuses to operate on it. Dammit.

Also, bills are piling up: school, mobile, broadband…and the worst thing is, I can never pin hope on the redpacks during Cny, because I’m relative-less.

Technology not-savvy.

January 12, 2009

Saturday was spent quite “meaningfully” as Charlie and I went through a series of trials and tribulations before we finally get our fabric label done:

First we had problem with fitting new cartridges into the printer, and even resorted to reading the manual online and seeking the man of the house for help. We gave up after almost smashing the damm machine up, went out for some korean, and tried again. Ended up, it was because that dear friend of mine didn’t know the old cartridges are hidden at the corner of the printer, and assumed the empty space exposed to us was the right place to fit the cartridges. Yes, that’s her.
Second, we did not know how to change the printer settings to reverse image option for our iron on transfer to work (which a lot of online tutorials advise us to do so). Hence, we manually flipped all our images the wrong orientation. YET, when we printed it, it came out on the RIGHT orientation! Ended up, I figured it’s because when you clicked “heat transfer paper” under paper properties, the printer automatically does the reversing for you.

We had only one pathetic piece of transfer paper (don’t ask me why we were so dumb to get only one) but luckily we managed to salvage some unprinted space and did 3 successful labels.

Yeah, I concluded, technology is scarily intelligent nowadays.

Anyway, today’s back to school day and I was horribly drugged the whole day because yesterday’s night was burnt getting Wrinkledrose’s very first case beautifully packaged and ready for Ms. Lee =)

Pour elle.

Charlie and I went to Chinatown and spotlight (having 20% sale!), and brought back 4m of fabrics and several d-rings.
I love the new theme we are working on, and really do hope there are people alike out there that will appreciate it =)

So, the above was churned out in a rush, and despite that, I’m pretty satisfied with it.
It’s for her.

I am happy whenever I sit by Ally, even if its freaking 2am in the morning.
She used to be sitting by a Singer, sewing through the night,
But she wasn’t happy.

Many more uncut.

It’s to Chinatown early afternoon tomorrow; hope it’s a worthwhile trip.

Leaving for JB on thursday to meet her.
It has being too long.

Wrinkledroseis finally launched!

Hand-drawn by charlie!

Hand-drawn by charlie!

I must admit, I’m a tad addicted to perfecting it every moment I can.
It doesn’t matter if there’s not many incoming orders. Big things come small first right? HAHA

And school’s starting on Jan 12th, and my mondays will start at 9am.
Yes, its a miracle I chose that timeslot, because I’m very stubborn in wanting my tuesdays and fridays free =)

This christmas, I made keyrings!

Patchwork goodness for the sisters, charlie, didi, and sara =)
